Getting better

Well, we did pretty good this week. I cooked dinner about 5 days this week and we were able to connect more as a family. 5 dinners means 5 prayers that the boys are in the room for. They won't fold their arms or close their eyes but they hear them. I'm hoping that as we continue, they will begin to feel the Holy Spirit and maybe that will move them to a softer heart.

This week, in addition to studying the curriculum and doing my best to bring the Spirit into my home, I will:

• Find a way to INVITE my boys. I'm not sure what to invite them to do but I will listen for the Holy Spirit to guide me. It may be an invitation to study scriptures, to get a blessing, or whatever. They will probably turn me down, but I have to invite.                                                   

That is the general message I've gotten with the new curriculum. Christ invites us. He continues to invite us no matter how many times we turn Him down.
