Success

Well I did all my reading and prayers this week. Also, John and I read the Come Follow Me lesson together. Adam remained in the room during the first chapter in John that we read. That's a win! We actually read the ideas that are given at the end of the lesson and came up with some plans to help invite the Spirit into our home. The big one was the cleanliness of the house. We decided to use Rosa's idea of spending 15-20 minutes each day cleaning up together. Also, we are going to add in a deep clean of some sort on Saturdays. Probably bathrooms and mopping floors. We are excited about this, not just because of having a cleaner house but because it will be something we do together.

I really believe that many miraculous blessing will come by following the Come Follow Me plan. We aren't usually sure on how best to do it with the boys but we are trying and I know the Lord will bless us in that. We just can't give up. I think that's where we went wrong over the years. The boys began to rebel and we gave up because we didn't know how to handle it or what to do because everything we tried was met with greater and greater resistance.

I'm thankful for this new plan. I'm sure it was inspired just to help my family.

My goal for the week is to:

  •  Follow through with ideas that we come up with and be open to new revelations.
  • Take advantage of every single time the boys are around - hard with Adam because he sleeps until 1 then parties until 1 am. BUT, when he is around, we will have family prayer, read scriptures in front of him so he will hear for however long he stays in the room. Use dinner time, etc. It's all we can do.

  1. You are doing great! I am really impressed that you have found a way to study around the boys. You are such a great mom! If nothing else, I believe the boys know you love them (even if they don't admit it).
