Progress

I was not perfect, but I did make some progress. I prayed at night. I read from The Book of Mormon most days that I worked. I was very successful at listening to conference talks. I could feel a difference in how I felt after listening to conference talks. Just like last time I did this, I am glad I sit in a cubicle where no one is able to see the feelings well up in my eyes. This by far has been my favorite part of the challenge I gave myself. I have to continue this one! I have been loving it so much, and it is making me excited for the next conference. I was compelled to listen to the Holy Ghost. I prayed to find out where I needed to start getting healthy. The next day, I passed out at work after walking with my friend. When I went to the doctor, I was told that I was dehydrated and needed to get back on my medication. It was not the quiet way that I was accustomed to, but I think that is because I have been ignoring it a bit too much lately. Heavenly Father must have known that I needed to be knocked in the head to actually listen. I just didn't know He would do it literally. I am hoping that the next time, I will be more willing to listen to a more quiet prompting.

This week, I will keep the same goals:
  • read from The Book of Mormon each day
  • listen to at least one conference talk while at work each day
  • pray each night
  • follow the promptings of the Holy Ghost

  1. Funny how the Lord can get us going by extreme measures if necessary.
