Not Great, Not Bad

I did ok with my spiritual goals this week. I wrote in my journal 6 days and listened to the scriptures 5 days. I even made it to the New Testament! It was so wonderful to listen to it Thursday and Friday. I really enjoyed it on Friday as I sat in my cubicle feeling depressed and alone. As I wallowed, I started got to the listen to Matthew describe Jesus in agony in the Garden of Gethsemane, being betrayed and arrested, have people accuse him of trying to destroy the temple, be persecuted and killed, and finally be resurrected. It was like the Lord was saying, "I have experienced what you are feeling right now, and I can help you see the beauty of the resurrection." I have never felt this when studying the Atonement before. I can't even describe how wonderful I felt as I listened.
I did not make it to the temple or do my Come, Follow Me lesson. I feel bad for not getting these done, but I know I cannot change the changes in me from this week.
This week, I will:

  • Listen to the New Testament daily
  • Write in  my journal daily
  • Go to the temple
  • Catch up on the "Come, Follow Me" lessons
