I have really been slacking and have felt spiritually empty for quite a while now and this was just the jump start I needed. I finally feel that wall broken down.
After this conference, I feel inspired to do a lot of things but as Sister Bingham? said, we wear different hats but we don't have to wear them all, all the time. Or something like that. I, too, get Conference overwhelm. So my goals will be longer than weekly in general, but weekly is a good way to measure.
So this week I will:
- Record at least one spiritual moment I have. - Just like it was said in conference, they are unforgettable. I remember the big ones and want to have them recorded. I can't believe I've never written any of them down.
- Set aside 30 minutes of scripture study every day. I've decided to do it by time instead of amount. It's too easy to just get through a chapter when I do it by amount. I want to really study. I've been waiting to get a desk in my room and many other excuses do study. I listen to them but it's usually really late at night so I'm not getting a ton out of them. But I will just do my best to study at the kitchen table. With everyone home all the time, I know it will be distracting, but I also know that it will be good for my boys to see me studying them. So I will pray and ask Heavenly Father to help me concentrate.
There are some good study helps in the gospel library app. I think they're knew because I haven't noticed them before. But I may start there. I think I will start by studying all the references of the Savior in the Book of Mormon.
Yay for spiritual renewal!

Best weekend ever!
