Forget much?

I completely forgot about these goals! I had such a busy week for school that every other goal sort of went out the window. I even canceled my temple appointment because I was so bogged down with my papers. However, I was called to repentance (a gentle reminder) this week in church. One lady spoke about a tribe in Africa mentioned in Brene Brown's book A Daring Leader, or something. Anyway, these people greeted each other with a phrase (don't remember what it was - in their language) but it means "I see you". It signifies that when they greet someone, they are present with them. It's not just an empty "hi, how are you?" that we often say in the United States. Anyway, when they are treated in this manner, the other person says "I am here". The point of this talk was to spend time with the Lord, really being present and knowing that He is saying to you..."I am here". It was such a beautiful reminder that the Lord is here for me. He wants my attention and presence with Him. We also learned about putting Him first before any other thing. I often put other things that I feel are more of a priority over Him. I read scriptures when I have time or am not too tired. I need to put Him first. So my goal this week is to read my scriptures and pray before I do anything else. If I have appointments or something else I have to do in the morning, I will get up earlier. I need to be closer to my Heavenly Father. I also plan to make another appointment at the temple to do initiatories. I'm also writing these in my calendar so I don't forget my goals.
