Helping Me Grow

I have been missing school. I love to learn. Since I took a bit of time away to try to figure things out with Noel, I didn't get the full benefit of it this last school year. These goals have been helping fill this void. They have also helped my testimony grow a lot over the past few weeks. Now that Noel has been joining us, it gives me hope for the future as well.

I really like listening to conference talks in the morning. There were a few mornings when I had to concentrate too much on my work to be able to listen to a talk, but when I was done with that project, I would listen to a talk before I turned on anything else (I like to have tv shows and movies playing while I work). I finished the most recent conference and went back to the one before it. I had a hard time concentrating on a few of them, but I could still feel the calm that I have been enjoying from this practice that I have created for myself.

"Come, Follow Me" has been going well. We do a little bit of it most nights of the week until we get into the "Ideas for Family Scripture Study and Home Evening." I am not sure why, but we don't really enjoy this part as much. I have also been watching the "Don't Miss This" podcast on Mondays while I work to help me understand what we are talking about before going over it in greater detail with Chad and Noel. The study of Job and his trials opened up some interesting conversations this last week, and I hope to have more conversations like that as we study together.

My goals will stay the same this week:
  • listen to a conference talk each morning
  • do "Come, Follow Me" as a family (continue to invite Sean to join)

  1. I love that you're doing this with your family. We always skipped the family scripture study ideas part. lol. I need to get back to doing it, at least with John. I do it sometimes on my own but not all the time.
