The Talks

Have I mentioned how much I love listening to conference talks? Each time I listen to another talk, I get the opportunity to learn about myself, my Savior, and more. It has been a bit more difficult this week to pay attention, but it has been hard for me to sit still for work as well. I have just been distracted. When the talks did catch my attention, I enjoyed what I was learning. My favorite talk this week was "Simply Beautiful-Beautifully Simple" by Elder Gary E. Stevenson. He talks about how simple the gospel is, breaking it down into 4 actions while including examples of each. If you haven't listening to it in a while, I highly suggest it. I am keeping this goal. I think I will do better at staying in my seat while working which will help me better pay attention since I will be working all five days (I had two days off last week). 

My goal of doing "Come, Follow Me" has not been working out so well. Noel started seminary this week and has been so cranky and tired by 9pm that we are lucky to get our family prayer in each night before she groggily goes to bed. We need to figure out an new evening schedule that supports her need to go to bed earlier. I am going to have the goal of doing this at least once this week. That way we get the advantages from doing it, but we do not stress about it if it does not get done. 

Prayers have been difficult for me this week as well. I really can't blame anyone but me. This is a very important goal for me, and I really want to get this habit back. I will keep the goal and try harder to accomplish it.
